Kerala International Festival of Theatre Schools (IFTS) 2023

In Feburary 2023 I was invited to deliver a paper and workshop on critical pedagogy in India at the School of Drama and Fine Arts, University of Calicut, Kerala for the inaugural International Festival of Theatre Schools (IFTS) in February 2023. The festival was a collaboration between the host school and the International Theatre Festival of Kerala (ITFOK) under the curational theme ‘Humanity Must Unite’. The paper was on ‘Theatre Pedagogy Today’ around non-hietactal pedagogies and I delivered a pedagogy workshop on Headphone Theatre exploring how visual and aural research could be developed through a technological frame, arguing towards a non-hierarchical approach to making a sound work that centering on listening and constructing sonic environments.
