The role of nanotechnology in sustainable textiles

This chapter gives an overview of current research developments in nanotechnology that have particular relevance to textiles and fashion sectors, and discusses current and future applications. Awareness of such work is increasingly important for design researchers and designers in the product and fashion arenas, in order to facilitate innovative collaborations between design, science and technology for a more sustainably designed future.
