Filmmaking and wellbeing

Walsh, Maria (2023) Filmmaking and wellbeing. In: Screening the Social: Beyond the Documentary, 13-24 November 2023, Online.

Type of Research: Conference, Symposium or Workshop Item
Creators: Walsh, Maria
Description:

Speaker for the panel 'Filmmaking and wellbeing' which was part of the online film festival Screening the Social: Beyond the Documentary convened by Dr.s Lena Theodoropoulou and Laura Harris with funding from the National Centre For Research Methods.

I was invited to select a film for the festival and I was in conversation with Dr. Adam Szymanski for the panel 'Filmmaking and wellbeing'. The film I selected was Jeamin Cha's Sound Garden, 2019, which I have written about in my 2023 essay 'From Lure to Cure' and which formed a basis for the panel discussion.
