Lines of Exclusion/Lines of Collaboration: Pioneering Female Medievalists

My contribution to this roundtable focused on conventional forms of academic publishing in the early 20th century. Using the independent scholar Hope Emily Allen as a case study, I discussed forms of writing and publishing that fostered the exclusion of 'difference' from the academy and publishing landscape.
