| Description: | A narrative description of the project Prisoners of Love: Affect, Containment and Alternative Futures [2022-24] providing an overview of the theoretical and conceptual foundations of the project. For example, imprisonment, containment and the carceral logic of museums is introduced by drawing on Bresson’s A Man Escaped. These concepts are used to illustrate the severing of people and objects, and to explore the relationship between digital technologies, representation, and power dynamics. The report then moves into a series of accounts and images of the different components of the project, including visits, workshops and exhibitions, and concludes with a transcript of a conversation between Kathryn Yusoff and Esi Eshun. |
