| Description: | One continuous shot documenting people celebrating the ‘Day of the Miner’(the last Sunday in August) in Myrnohrad in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine. The public holiday was last celebrated peacefully at the end of summer 2021. The work was filmed during one of several trips to the Donbas region between 2018 and 2021 as part of the production for the longer feature-length documentary film NOSTALGIA. It was exhibited as part of 'Preparing Passages: Before and After The Independence Day', a group show at Charim Schleifmühlgasse, Vienna, in April 2022. |
