Tiputini: Sampling the Jungle

A video essay that delves into the evolving soundscape of the Ecuadorian rainforest. This audiovisual piece stands at the intersection of documentary and sound art, weaving together raw field recordings with compositions derived from the natural acoustics of the jungle. The work is both an exploration and a response to the pressing environmental issues facing the Amazon, such as fossil fuel extraction and climate change, through the lens of innovative sound art practices. It challenges traditional narratives by presenting the jungle not just as a site of biodiversity but as a dynamic and rich soundscape.
