Additional Information (Publicly available): | Susan Trangmar Research Interests Photographic, moving image and sound installations exploring practices of space and temporality in relation to landscape and place. Current Research Early training in sculpture and photography has developed into a practice exploring representations of space and temporarility through photography, moving image and sound. Consistent concerns include theories of visuality; duration and spatiality, ontopologies of place and the relationship between the ‘process’ of work and its shaping through social and spatial context. ‘A Play in Time’, a recent double screen film (2008) explores the practices of space and experiences of intimacy within the public space of a park. Current research includes a group research project ‘ A Forest of Signs: Imaging Trees in the Contemporary Urban Environment' and 'Shifting Terrains', an ongoing series of works exploring a maritime coastline through image and sound. |
