Liberté / Liberty

This book is a typographic interpretation of the poem "Liberté" (1942) by Paul Éluard inspired by the surrealist graphic universe. To design this book, graphic designer Rathna Ramanathan immersed herself in the surrealist typographic productions of the Kandinsky Library at the Centre Pompidou: leaflets, posters, flyers and programs, anonymous or signed, constituting an extraordinary range of daring compositions. The author was inspired by this material and, more generally, by the surrealist spirit, to create her own graphic compositions in the service of the poem "Liberté", a masterpiece by Paul Éluard with a universal theme.
