| Description: | A project designed to tackle the discussion not of whether implementation of accessibility options is necessary (it is), but when doing it, it should be done in a respectable way that the game is still enjoyable, and not for the sake of having it as another tick on documentation. Ian Hamilton (CBeeBies, among others) declared that it "won not only the London challenge but also placed first globally" due to perfect scoring; yet, the project wasn't picked up by the Media or IGDA, and after GGJ, there was no public statement/summary regarding local/global winners. ===Awards=== "A game that I'm very pleased to be able to say broadened my own horizons regarding accessibility, despite me being a specialist with many years experience in the field. As a result he won not only the London challenge but also placed first globally." - Ian Hamilton (IGDA London) ===Recognition=== Dan Griliopoulos, in his Article 'Five Tricks Developers Should Use To Help Disabled Gamers' for PC Gamer, quoted my comments about accessibility challenges. This quote was later cited in Chapter 2 'Assistive Technologies for Brain-Injured Gamers'by Jason Colman and Paul Gnanayutham in 'Assistive Technologies and Computer Access for motor disabilities' by Georgios Kouroupetroglou (p.41, 2014). |
