Indie – the keyword. No longer just a passion, a synonym for independence. On the contrary, a thriving market. Indie games, Indie game developers. Indie gaming portals, Indie game editors, and ultimately – gamers and celebrities. When, less than a year ago, at the ZTG, we presented a lecture titled "Indie is Dead," there was much controversy and indulgent smiles. However, when you look at the contemporary press and the opinions of the creators themselves, it has become clear – in our opinion, we were Indie. And we will once again discuss the true nature of independence and the price to pay. What is business independence? How do you define the risk? Is it worth it, and if so, why? To what extent does Indie represent your own path, and to what extent is it a profitable business model? In a free market where the competitive environment dictates the rules, can you even talk about being independent? How has the image of the creator and the entrepreneur changed?
