| Description: | In our country, games are considered a toy, an object of children's adoration. However, according to understated statistics from the Polish Chamber of Competition and Consumer Protection (IJOKiK), the gaming industry in Poland was worth over 300 million złoty last year, an amount significantly higher than the value of the film, music, and book sales markets. However, as a form of entertainment, aren't they also art, or even something that influences generations and shapes culture, and therefore can be studied? And if so, then they should also be taught, and this is the aspect we will focus on in our studies in the UK and Poland. === This talk was also delivered at the 4th Zjazd Twórców Gier the same year under the title 'Grodukacja' (Gameducation) |
