A single channel film made in response to research joining international researchers on a research expedition to the subpolar North Atlantic (2016). Led by scientists at the A single channel film made in relation to the UK-OSNAP research programme led by scientists at the National Oceanography Centre, focusing on Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation, a vital ocean current system which is weakening due to climate change.

Using footage captured on a research expedition to the North Atlantic subpolar region (2016) the film takes the audience on a journey from the ship to the depths of ocean floor and back again. The film’s narrative acts as a guide for the viewer, conversationally elucidating the ocean environment and some of the relationships, human and non-human, that exist there, whilst considering human impact on the ocean as a carbon sink.

The film was exhibited in Delve, a group exhibition at Galería Josep Renau, Facultad Bellas Artes, Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain, in 2024.
