Evoking/revoking intimacy. Where queer plastic and the ecopolitics of Black feminism intersect

The following text is a revised version of a conversation between Ama Josephine Budge Johnstone and Heather Davis. Together, we discuss how desire, eroticism, and intimacy are addressed in our respective work, sometimes as sites of liberation and sometimes as inscriptions in ecological and social violence. We engage with these ideas through our different positions and through our research on climate colonialism and plastics.
