| Description: | The Jungle is a domestic, installable play system developed for Great Brits: Ingenious Therapies, presented at the Milan Furniture Fair (2007) at Paul Smith HQ. The project invites users to knot, tie, and swing from suspended elements, creating an open-ended environment that encourages both imaginative and physical engagement. It explores how playful, embodied interaction within interior environments can support wellbeing, challenging conventional distinctions between furniture, space, and activity, and positioning movement as integral to everyday domestic experience. The exhibition Great Brits: Ingenious Therapies, featured design prototypes addressing human emotions and needs- such as fear, fiction, fantasy, escape, stasis, and calm- offering a contemporary perspective on the function of objects. Production of the installation was self-funded, with exhibition, transport, and promotional support provided by the British Council. |
