Description: | This was a project of research in action for societal good, bringing together the HE sector with a leading NGO(ONE Water/Global Ethics) to help address a global problem, lack of clean drinking water in Africa. In collaboration with the Universities of UAL, Westminster and Sheffield, I curated and delivered a campaign for a new sustainability project called Water Amnesty. The object was to design a campaign that could encourage the saving of water across our 33 campuses and donate 50% of that saving onto ONE Water, a charity who provide clean and sustainable water sources, pumped up by children’s play on roundabouts in Africa. The outputs were web based, along with an 18% saving on water usage for UAL, 10% for Sheffield and 15% for The University of Westminster. The project will be run again this November. Sheffield University are running it for a year. |
