| Description: | Livia's Garden: Quantum Entanglement I (2025) is a C-type print mounted on aluminium. This photograph forms part of a series made during visits to key sites in Pompei and Rome between September and December 2025. This image depicts Livia’s Garden, a Fresco where dining rituals framed by Symbolism of Roman gardens, created a multisensory experience and 3D paradisus. Originally in Prima Porta in the North of Rome, it was an immersive space that defied the semi-subterranean dining room’s setting now transported to the Museum in Palazzo Massimo, depicting fantastical vegetation, plants, flowers and a variety of birds in motion which haptically evoke the movement, smells and sounds of a living garden. The photograph is a panoramic view of suggesting a folding and looping of time where memory and the fresco’s immersive experience meet. |
