The Language of flowers and the symbolism of flower-women at Dior

This chapter examines Christian Dior's biography in the context of flowers, gardening, the language of flowers and provides a socio-cultual' fashion historial and botanical analyis of the couturier's 'flower-women. It comprises a new critical analysis, based on extensive primary research, of the couturier's work for a book that accompanied an exhibition at his childhood home, now the Christian Dior Museum, Granville.
