A social model approach to neurodiversity training

UAL’s Disability Service delivers a programme of workshops for academic and professional services staff at University of the Arts London. Taking a social model approach, these workshops were co-created with neurodivergent and autistic colleagues. The focus of this training is to highlight the social model to staff and demonstrate how this can be embedded in their planning and teaching.

In this presentation, Angelina and Carys (University of the Arts London) share their experience of delivering neurodiversity focused staff development sessions, and the benefits of taking a social model approach which focuses on student inclusion in its broadest sense.
