| Description: | The 2026 ‘Lines of Flight’ research symposium took place on the final day of Earth Week at University of the Arts London (UAL). The symposium was convened by EARTH (Ecological Arts Research Transdisciplinary Hive), our network of researchers spanning UAL’s colleges and disciplines. The symposium comprised three types of contributions including: interactive keynotes with international thought leaders; 21 contributions from UAL researchers, and; a strategic panel. Contributions were presented within panels themed "territories of arts, sciences and other ecological knowledges," "shifting the narratie" and "redirecting systems and values." This report overviews the symposium, including summaries of themes and discussions, abstracts and images from the researchers' By better understanding our contributions and engaging with others – through networks such as EARTH and this symposium – we aim to impact sector-critical agendas such as decarbonization of our own operations, development of ourselves, our skills, work and outputs in climate adaptation, resilience and justice, and shaping next generation and society-wide cultural shifts in attitudes and behaviours. |
