Description:

This app was developed in collaboration with The Hans Rausing Endangered Languages Project at SOAS in London. It uses photographs and recordings collected by Wynne, linguist Dr Andy Chebanne (University of Botswana) and photographer Denise Hawrysio in the Kalahari Desert. It features speakers of 5 different highly endangered 'click languages', including English translations, as well as recordings of 2 Naro choirs, information, maps and interviews with Dr Peter Austin, director of HRELP and Dr Chebanne.

Originally released as a CD-ROM to accompany the Hearing Voices installation, it has been updated and released as an interactive app published to accompany Issue 12 of the academic journal Language Description and Documentation, along with an extensive article by Wynne.
