Visual art and visual ideas: an introduction from a British perspective

Kearney, Jonathan (2010) Visual art and visual ideas: an introduction from a British perspective. In: Visual Art and Visual Ideas: An Introduction from a British Perspective, 17th May 2010, Beijing, China. (Unpublished)

Type of Research: Conference, Symposium or Workshop Item
Creators: Kearney, Jonathan
Description:

This workshop and lecture will provide an opportunity to explore visual ideas in a group setting. Using visual resources, sourced direct from Britain, students will develop their ideas in a hands–on creative workshop which will be followed by a lecture and discussion. The lecture will show how ideas are communicated visually and consider the possibility that cultural differences between Britain and China create different 'readings' of the visual material.
