Description: | This shirt was made in collaboration with Dr Frances Geesin, for the Science Museum's exhibition, 'Trash Fashion…Designing Out Waste in the Fashion Industry'. It is part of the Top 100 series by Earley, and this piece looked specifically at the idea of upcycling using detachable jewellery details around the collar and cuff areas. The detachable elements were created by silver electroplating polyester lace pieces, and then stitching into them, to create bespoke 'upcycled' extended life jewellery. |
