Description: | Liverpool and Shanghai hosted their respective biennials. e-space lab continued its dialogue between the sister cities by inviting artists and audiences to take part in a series of live video conversations. Philip Courtenay in Liverpool and Professor Ling Min in Shanghai introduced the theme of the dialogue on this occasion. The e-dialogue using video streaming and video file exchange considered how to deepen our explorations of the roles of pubic art in the context of the re-generation of urban and social fabrics. The agenda for the video-streaming cultural exchange and dialogue included the artist Yang Jianping who produced a large scale art work for the Shanghai World Expo. His work was positioned in a key location, beside the entrance and the Chinese Pavilion. |
