Description: | The project is a cross-course collaboration between LCC and the Cuming Museum involving a sound art response to artefacts in the Southwark collection. The aim is to deliver the archive to new audiences through innovative curatorial/spatial practices and interventions. Students from 3 x courses (BA (Hons) Sound Arts; BA (Hons) Interior Design Students; and BA (Hons) Design for Interaction & Moving Image) will work in mixed teams on interpretation, curation, narrative, navigation and spatial exploration. Work will be exhibited in the LCC Gallery and external venues. There will be an event incorporating guest speakers and performances by students and a series of workshops designed to engage with local community groups including school children and the elderly. A catalogue and online presence will record the process of project development and final outputs. |
