The Body and Everyday Life

The book address theories, themes and approaches to the body and everyday life through the lens of a range of performance practice case studies where bodily actions / notions loom large through the ‘not-everyday’ but which speak to and of the everyday in nuanced ways. Performance practices often emerge through the vernacular and / or draw consummately from the intricacies of the everyday and in so doing, speak to /of it in challenging ways, to highlight the complexities of trying to grapple with the slippery, multifarious notions of the body or bodies in (and) everyday life.
