Description:

This series of themed conversations formed part of the University of the Arts London’s 2012 Drawing Out conference.
With the resurgence of the practice of drawing in recent years, debate has arisen around its place within current artistic practice, and in particular its role in art schools.
The National Gallery, displaying one of the finest collection of Western European painting, is an ideal venue to continue this dialogue and to examine how the practices of the past inform the present.
