"From Fashion to Science” - Duncan of Jordanstone University, Dundee

Helen Storey was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Science by The University of Sheffield and was made Honorary Professor of Craft & Design by Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, Dundee.

Helen delivered a talk "From Fashion to Science" as part of an award ceremony in Dundee on 17 May.

Following her second catwalk show, Fashion Designer Helen Storey was nominated for British Designer of the Year and won Most Innovative Designer of the Year. With a keen interest in scientific research, Storey created ‘Primitive Streak’, a collection of textiles that take the viewer through the first 1,000 hours of human life. She then established The Helen Storey Foundation and was awarded the MBE for services to the Arts in 2009.
