| Description: | An artwork over 2 metres in length consisting of 25 glass pedestal dishes across the surfaces of which a single silhouette of a female figure is hand painted. The dishes made in Venetian glass ware, refer to their historical counterparts, with the figure being filled with painted fragments representing textile, ornamental and decorative motifs. The artwork questions the position of the female figure as represented in art history, as a decorative motif and as being inextricably linked to the domestic. |
