From Private to Public examined the motivations, both conscious and unconscious, of putting very personal photographic work into the public domain. How does the practice of artists working in this field differ and relate to the proliferation of personal imagery that is found on social networking sites? This symposium brought together both artists and academics to examine and debate some of these ideas.
