Description:	This text was commissioned as the first comprehensive survey and contextualisation of Sune Jonsson's photographic work in the 1950s, 60s and 70s. It was the result of a two year research project by Val Williams, who was given access to the Sune Jonsson archive in Umea. The research also included wide reading of Jonsson's and other Swedish texts, and contextualised Jonsson's work within the wider Swedish culture of the time.
