Pierce, Jo (2010) Lost in Digital. [Art/Design Item]
Type of Research: | Art/Design Item |
---|---|
Creators: | Pierce, Jo |
Description: | Lost in Digital plays with the differences between the intentional ‘unpolished’ sensibility of the hand and the perceived ‘high finish’ often associated with digital technology. The textile design was created from collected images, drawings and objects which are collaged together digitally to form new compositions. Once digitally printed, Pierce hand finished the design to create a surface pattern that merges homemade DIY crafts with high-tech digital print processes. |
Additional Information (Publicly available): | Pierce is a designer-maker of wallpaper and interior textiles.
