Description: | This talk, at the Fast Forward panel at Tate Modern, explored the history of the Spectrum Women's Photography Festival, held in London and across the UK, in 1988. Using the catalogue as a tool for intial research, the talk explored the content, the venues and the team which led Spectrum. Intended as a call for interest in collaborative research into this now somewhat obscure but important event, the talk emphasized the significance of Spectrum within the history of British photography and women's cultural initiatives. |
