Maloney, Peter (2008) Film as Form (Stanley Kubrick's Colour Space). [Show/Exhibition]
Type of Research: | Show/Exhibition |
---|---|
Creators: | Maloney, Peter |
Description: | The work explores ideas of 'film as database' in line with notions of the specialist observer put forward by Laura Mulvey (Death 24 X A Second, 2005). The creative work resulting from the project (a series of projected 'film forms' produced through a spatial remapping of the film in response to an analysis of archival material) was featured as part of a touring exhibition curated by the Archive which accompanied the 'Stanley Kubrick 2008: A Film Odyssey'season. This was one of the first projects developed in association with the Stanley Kubrick Archive at the London College of Communication, which opened in 2007. |
