Description: | Digital slide show (ca 60 mins loop, durational screening). Attribute/noun pairs have been extracted from selected texts originating in the fields of philosophy, aesthetics, sociology, pedagogy and economics (e.g. A Badiou, L Weiner, T Adorno, P Freire, F Engels). The resulting lists of nominal phrases have been catalogued applying structuralist text mapping. Each word pair is then placed into a graphic template allowing for permutations of a set of facial expressions to be assigned. Attuned to the idea of psychographic variables, each slide validates a 'qualified noun' according to the emotive response encoded. |
