Description: | The paper discussed tensions between multicultural citizenship approaches to education applied within the national HE context and a more instrumentalist, economy-driven approaches within international and transnational contexts. Drawing on audio-visual data of internationally and ethnically diverse student groups interacting with national and international visual media to collaborate on project work, and tracking the situational identifications of self and other that arise, it argues for the importance of addressing affiliations beyond the nation-state as part of the HE development of fashion media workers. |
