Description: | Sound piece commissioned by ICA (Institute of Contemporary Arts) London, as part of their SoundWorks show 2012. This piece re-composes the ballade Erlkönig by Johan Wolfgang Goethe to engage in the ephemerality and fragility of time. It proposes an affective time, full of sentiment: producing not the thin chronological line of rational time ticking by, but a stream of emotions thickened by memory. A thick timespace that allows us to be social as well as solitary, and whose agency we experience and are at the same time. Time does not go by us, we go in time, we are time, fragile and passing, alone in the night. |
