Description: | For this session of a L'Escolta, part of Sonar+D, Salomé Voegelin will perform a listening séance to attempt communication with the uncontrollable and unreliable spirits of sound. Listening to noises and silences; making sounds and hearing rhythms, she explores the heard as echoes of aesthetic and social expectations and delves into what remains un-heard in order to disintegrate and pluralise the frame of the real. Conjuring up the audible and the inaudible we will collectively engage in the actuality and possibility of hearing, embracing doubt and imagination, to generate from a present audition the future of listening, and to reciprocate as sensorial subjects - invisible and transient: equally uncertain of our sonic selves. |
