Creators: | Wainwright, Chris |
Description: | Wainwright provided a brief outline of some of the sustained influences and concerns that have shaped the direction of his work over the past 40 years and provide a more detailed insight into recent work that focuses on environmental issues. In particular this concentrated on projects undertaken in Japan and the Far East as well as the High Arctic region. These and related concerns for the relationship of art practice to some aspects of science were explored through a conversation with Quentin Cooper. |

Additional Information (Publicly available): | As the University continues to maintain and develop its profile as a global leader in arts research, a series of Professorial Platform lectures was launched in 2008. The Platforms are an opportunity for University colleagues and associates, as well as invited members of the public, to learn more about the research undertaken in the University. The Platforms enable Professors to highlight their field of interest and the University, in turn, to recognise and commemorate their successes to date. |
