Description: | SHOWstudio joined Somerset House in building support for Fashion Revolution Day on 24 April 2014. Fashion Revolution Day, conceived by Lucy Siegel and Livia Firth, is an annual event, created in response to the Bangladesh's Rana Plaza factory collapse to encourage people to investigate and question the provenience of their clothes. To give deserved attention to the vital topic of sustainability in fashion, SHOWstudio invited a host of experts in for a panel discussion. Dilys Williams and Renee Cuoco from Centre for Sustainable Fashion joined Katherine Poulton from ethical knitwear company The North Circular, jeweler Michelle Lowe-Holder and Abigail Murray of Designer Jumble for a dynamic live talk on fashion ethics on 17 April 2014. |
