Breward, Christopher and Potter, Cher and Entwistle, Joanne and ten Bhomer, Marloes and White, Lisa (2014) How do fashion cycles and design culture interact? In: Design Culture Salon: 'How do fashion cycles and design culture interact?’, 14 November 2014, Victoria and Albert Museum, London.

Type of Research: Conference, Symposium or Workshop Item
Creators: Breward, Christopher and Potter, Cher and Entwistle, Joanne and ten Bhomer, Marloes and White, Lisa
Description:

Fashion dominates how design is understood and consumed, particularly through the media. At the same time, the ‘trend’ orientated fashion system appears to be oppositional to those seeking to pave alternative systems and cultures of consuming design. So, how useful are the dynamics of fashion as a method of examining and understanding the role of design in contemporary culture?

Cher Potter was on the panel of this Design Culture salon at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
