Description: | Addressing the wastage of perennial building of bespoke and discarded exhibition display stands for each annual degree exhibition. Aims to engage in a simple yet flexibly sophisticated manner. A sustainable system is evolved here, which does more with less addressing both more and less in as many ways as possible. Positive No needs no tools, no fixings, no assembly time and no bulk storage The system remains flexible and easily adaptable (open source) to accommodate the variable contingencies which differing projects and cohorts and respective display requirements may demand. Methodology adopted involves evolution by ‘degrees’ responding to the variable demands of consecutive degree display to iterate and evaluate the parameters and level of accessible customisability of the system. Iterated over 12/13 13/14 14/15 15/16 16/17 17/18 degree exhibitions. Many proprietary exhibition systems appear to be sophisticated in manufacture, material and technology but their very technical sophistication often limits scope for intervention, improvisation, contingency and special case. This research aims at innovating agile, user customisable outcome. |
