Additional Information (Publicly available): | Oona Ball started making sculptures that appeared to exist as an act of drawing; these drawing-sculptures led to the current series of work with which she is currently engaged. This work exists as a mixture of painting, drawing and sculpture explored as mise-en- scène. The objects Ball works with are humble, small-scale, easy to miss. Through the acts of looking and scrutiny, their falsity is exposed. What seems at first glance to be an insignificant burnt matchstick and scorch mark are in fact a carefully fabricated brass facsimile and wall drawing.
