| Description: | Curation of an exhibition of speculative architecture. Ten practices submit designs for buildings that in principle could not be realised. Display materials include drawings, models, photographs and texts. The exhibition includes exhibits by Adamo Faiden, David Kohn Architects, Fala Atelier, Feilden Fowles, Go Hasegawa, Grafton Architects, Plan Común, Stanton Williams, Vidal Tomás Arquitectes and Wim Goes. |
| Additional Information (Publicly available): | Unfeasible might appear to be about limitation. However, the exhibition also deals with an imaginative projection beyond limits. “We wanted to find out what would happen if we asked these architectural practices to acknowledge practical limits, and then to press on regardless”, explains Dr Peter Kapos of Systems, “The seemingly negative factors that appear to block and frustrate, in many cases turn out to reveal new possibilities.” "Unfeasible" is part of a joint series of events and exhibitions by "Systems" and Walter Knoll. Systems are designers and curators of projects exploring the present condition of modernist design through print, web, exhibition and collaboration. |
