Description: | Tricia Austin convened a panel and presented a paper on narrative and space. Panel: Narrative and Visual Methods Chairs: Tricia Austin and Alan Parsons Tricia Austin introduced David Herman’s notion of storyworld and poses the first main question ‘if we conceive of spatial narratives as storyworld rather than strict linear sequences, how does this change design practice particularly in relation to visual methods?” Allan Parsons posed the second main question “How does the notion of storyworld allow for socio/political frames and inferences to be articulated, recognised and questioned” Sarah Featherstone, award winning architect and Co-Director of Featherstone Young, London presented a selection of work addressing the questions above. Noel McCauley presented a selection of work addressing the questions above. A panel discussion was led by Tricia Austin and Alan Parsons, with questions invited from the audience. |
