Description: | An exhibition of 12 portraits of veterans of D-Day, commissioned by HRH The Prince of Wales following his attendance at the 70th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy last year.The portraits pay tribute to some of the men that played a role in the Allied invasion of Normandy on 6 June 1944. All of them served in regiments with which The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall have a formal affiliation. Hogan was one of the 12 different artists commissioned to paint a veteran. Accompanied by a fully illustrated catalogue, with essays by Antony Beevor and Richard Cork. |
