Black Scraptrolley

Black Scraptrolley conveys the endless and sometimes tormenting artist’s quest for the envisioned outcome and how this affects his/her whole existence. A female and male protagonist explores and constructs new links between different worlds continuously.

The film interprets a brief text written by Zowie Broach (Boudicca) for Anna-Nicole Ziesche’s novel research project Remembered, Felt, Imagined Forever which she had commenced in her book Conditioned by Dress, the first in a series of monographs entitled Practices of Transdisciplinarity, a collaborative effort between ArtEZ and LCF, UAL, led by Lucy Orta.

All details and objects in the film are taken from conversations both women had with each other. The name 'Black Scraptrolley' stems from the fact that Zowie Broach used to have a shopping trolley filled with scrapbooks.

'Black Scraptrolley' was nominated for 'Best Editing' by London Fashion Film Festival in 2015

ASFF is a BAFTA Qualifying short film festival that takes place annually at the beginning of November in York.
