Meet Me At Dawn

"The Traverse Theatre is delighted to announce the cast and creative team for Meet Me at Dawn; a world premiere written by Traverse Associate Director Zinnie Harris.

A co-production with the Edinburgh International Festival; Meet Me at Dawn will be directed by Traverse Artistic Director Orla O'Loughlin. The production will see Fred Meller as the Designer, Simon Wilkinson as Lighting Designer and Danny Krass as Composer and Sound Designer.

We are also pleased to announce Fiona Mackinnon as the Assistant Director; a role made possible by the Federation of Scottish Theatre and Creative Scotland.

Unflinchingly honest and tenderly lyrical, Meet Me at Dawn will see Sharon Duncan-Brewster (Swallow - TravFest15) as Helen and Neve McIntosh as Robyn (The Events - TravFest13).

Inspired by Orpheus's desperate reclamation of his wife Eurydice from the underworld, the play is a modern fable exploring the triumph of everyday love, the mystery of grief, and the temptation to become lost in a fantasy future that will never be.

Talking about the production, Orla O'Loughlin said:

'Meet Me at Dawn is a tidal wave of a play that leaves me breathless every time I read it. A story that explores the depths of what it means to say goodbye.'"
