Exhibiting from the Archive: Recent Projects

Presentation given by Dr Jo Melvin at the Royal College of Art. The processes and experiences in building exhibitions from an archival resource were discussed; in particular the exhibitions of Barry Flanagan's one ton corner piece '67 (1967) and heap 3 ' 67/68, (1967/8) at Cullinan Richards (London, January 2015), Barry Flanagan Light Pieces and other works, & Model (Leeds 2017), and 5 Issues of Studio International (Raven Row, London, 2015) curated by Melvin. These were discussed along with material from the Flanagan archive.
