Description: | These magazine pages are part of the Brooklyn Rail 'Critics Pages' series. Mine stem from a project I developed with the Mahler & LeWitt Studios in Spoleto, Italy on the subject of artists’ books. It began in September 2017 when I organised an event titled Fifteen People Present their Favourite Book, in part to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the Lannis Gallery/ Museum of Normal Art’s seminal exhibition, Fifteen People Present their Favorite Book (1967). Since Sol LeWitt was one of the original participants, and its exhibition space was beneath his studio, it was natural to use his presence in Italy as a trigger for the exhibition’s re-staging. I wrote the introduction: 'Fifteen people in Spoleto' The contributions listed below follow in sequence. Two Spoleto contributors decided not to participate in the magazine exhibition project. Ian Davenport and Jo Melvin: On Sol LeWitt Primo De Donno and Emanuele De Donno: Sean Dower: 33 1/3 RPM - Perfromance for record turntable. loop effect [edal and vinyl records Jeffrey Isaac: Chimeracarousel 2018 Jeff Gibbons: Badenheim 1939 and my painting JocJonJosch: Existere Guy Robertson: Sol LeWitt Wall Drawings Torre Bonomo Spoleto Giovanni Rendini:Parrots Parrots Mattia Paje do you come here often?
